Fun Fact: Merline’s favorite book is Three Cups of Tea by David Oliver Relin and Greg Mortenson. She likes that the book reassures the reader that the impossible is achievable if you put your heart into it.

A professional in the accounting field since 2005, Merline has been a member of the Brown, Graham & Company (BGC) team since 2011. Her experience encompasses all phases of financial, tax, and investment services for closely held businesses engaged in the hospitality, manufacturing, farming, and oil & gas industries. Merline also works on cost segregation studies, research and development credits, and structural reorganizations. She has extensive experience with estate and trust planning and with foreign individual tax returns. A cheerful and driven professional, Merline is passionate about serving clients, is persistent about finding answers for them, and understands that there are no short cuts when it comes to providing superlative service.

Originally from India, Merline currently lives in Canyon, Texas, which she enjoys because it is not too big and not too small—the perfect size for her family. She and her husband, Sumesh, have three children and one very spoiled, pure-bred Pomeranian. Merline loves to dance and enjoys spending her free time painting. When she has the opportunity to travel, her favorite destination is Ruidoso, New Mexico.
